Workplace Noise Monitoring

Workplace Exposure NI have staff qualified in measuring workplace noise and can undertake this assessment for you.

The protection of workers from occupational noise is governed by the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005. This sets limits for noise levels.

A workplace noise survey will help you to meet requirements but will also protect you and your employees from damage to your hearing as a result from noise exposure.

We will work closely with our clients to provide a cost effective, efficient monitoring strategy. As a first step, this would involve visiting the site to confirm the monitoring locations, and we will liaise with all related parties.

Our consultant will gather noise exposure data using specialist instruments. We will make observations and gather information from you and your employees on existing controls and work practices.

We will provide you with a report which advises you on your current level of compliance, and we will make practical recommendations where required.
